Fred Firewater aka Fred is a sorrel 2008 model gelding standing at 14’3 hands. He’s by Cash N Balance (Dash For Cash x Lela Barnes Bug) which had a LTE of $19,577 on the track. He’s out of a Fire Water Flit mare, which needs no introduction. Firewater Flit is a sire of money earners of over $5 million with Futurity and Derby champions for 3 decades. Fred has been used as a heel horse and is a jam up barrel horse. Currently is running in the top of the 3D but has previously ran in top of the 2D and bottom of the 1D. , He has been slightly on the back burner with the owner being pregnant this last year, so he is getting back into the swing of things. He was last roped off of two years ago. He is high loping the poles and with more training he will make a jam up pole horse! Has been in with Chyenne Mortenson at CM Performance Horses being hauled and entered since May 2023. He is legged up and ready to go.

Fred is super fun to ride. No buck, bite or funny business. Super gentle and is the first to meet you at the gate. Has no alley issues and enters the arena with no problems. He has been entered in jackpots and in rodeos. Handles both atmosphere’s like a walk in the park. Fred is youth suitable for a handy youth. He’s the perfect rodeo horse. He’s a jam up heel horse or breakaway.

His only vice is that he roars, however, he has had the tie back surgery. It does not affect him or his performance at all, just is loud.
